Fees...

The club has a public liability and personal accident insurance through Bushwalking Queensland Inc. and Bushwalking Australia Inc.  With the large number of members in the policy, the insurance cost is kept to a minimum.

The level of public liability cover is $10,000,000.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to all people over the age of 18, although families with children are welcome to join. All children are the responsibility of the adult that brings them along. The ages in the club currently range from the 30's to 70's.

JOINING THE CLUB

To join the club, come along to a walk, preferably one that is of a less ability requirement than you could possibly do.  Eg. one of fitness level 1 to 3.  Please notify the trip leader prior to the walk of your attendance, as directed in the newsletter.

At your first walk, you will sign an acknowledgement of risk (AoR) and become a temporary member.  Your temporary membership will expire either
(1) after completion of two more walks, and you apply to become a member, or
(2) six months.

MEMBER FROM ANOTHER BWA AFFILIATED CLUB

If you are already a member from another bushwalking club, with similar objectives, or a member club of a State Federation through Bushwalking Australia, then reciprocal provisions apply.
